Your agency has asked for access to Hostinger. You don't need to share your password for it. Hostinger lets you add them with their own login, choose exactly what they can do, and remove them when the project ends. These are the clicks, checked against Hostinger's own help pages in November 2026.
Which role to choose
Pick the narrowest role that lets your agency do the work. Collaborator is usually the right one.
| Role | What it allows | For an agency |
|---|---|---|
| Collaborator | Manages the services you share, such as website files, databases and DNS. Cannot make purchases. | Usually the right one |
| Admin | Everything a Collaborator can do, plus purchases with your saved payment method. | If the work needs it |
Add your agency to Hostinger
- Log in to Hostinger, click your profile icon at the top right, then Account sharing.
- On the Give access tab, click Give access.
- Enter your agency's email address as the email address.
- In the list of services to share, select the website or hosting plan for your website. Add its domain as well if your agency manages your DNS.
- Under Assign role, choose Collaborator, then click Give access.
Only the account owner can give access. Hostinger says its email to your agency can take up to 15 minutes to arrive.
How you both know it worked
Hostinger emails your agency an invitation from hostinger.com. Once they accept it, they show in your Hostinger account's list of people with access, where you can see or change their role at any time.
Remove access when the project ends
- Click your profile icon at the top right, then Account sharing.
- Under Users that have access to your account, click the three dots next to your agency's email address, then Remove access.
- Change any FTP or database passwords your agency used.
Do you have to share your password?
No. Every step above uses Hostinger's own invite, so your agency signs in with their own account, your two-step verification stays on, and anything they change is recorded under their name. How to give a developer access without sharing your password covers the other accounts agencies usually ask for.
Doing this for every client?
Agencies can send each client one GetSetKeys link instead of a page like this. It walks the client through Hostinger and the other platforms the project needs, and checks that each step is done.
