Your agency has asked for access to GoDaddy. You don't need to share your password for it. GoDaddy lets you add them with their own login, choose exactly what they can do, and remove them when the project ends. These are the clicks, checked against GoDaddy's own help pages in October 2026.
Which role to choose
Pick the narrowest role that lets your agency do the work. Products & Domains is usually the right one.
| Role | What it allows | For an agency |
|---|---|---|
| Products & Domains | Works in your products, including control panels, and your domains. Cannot buy anything. | Usually the right one |
| Domains Only | Domain work only. You choose management, transfers or both. | If the work needs it |
| Products, Domains, & Purchase | Products & Domains, plus buying with your saved payment method. | If the work needs it |
Add your agency to GoDaddy
- Sign in to GoDaddy and open Delegate Access from Account Settings.
- Under People who can access my account, select Invite to Access.
- Enter your agency's name as the name and your agency's email address as the email, choose Products & Domains, then select Invite.
At every level, delegates cannot see your password or payment methods, or invite others. An invite that is not accepted expires after 48 to 72 hours.
How you both know it worked
GoDaddy emails your agency an invitation from godaddy.com. Once they accept it, they show in your GoDaddy account's list of people with access, where you can see or change their role at any time.
Remove access when the project ends
- Open Delegate Access and find your agency under People who can access my account.
- Select Edit, then Delete.
Do you have to share your password?
No. Every step above uses GoDaddy's own invite, so your agency signs in with their own account, your two-step verification stays on, and anything they change is recorded under their name. How to give a developer access without sharing your password covers the other accounts agencies usually ask for.
Doing this for every client?
Agencies can send each client one Get Set Keys link instead of a page like this. It walks the client through GoDaddy and the other platforms the project needs, and checks that each step is done.
